London - Luxury designer label Zuhair Murad has named Nereo Frisco as its commercial and business development director, as the brand looks to “strengthen the house’s growth”.

Frisco, who has previously held managerial positions at various fashion houses including Moschino, Givenchy and most recently Emanuel Ungaro, joined the brand last month, according to the company.

In a short statement, the Lebanese designer said that he hoped that this appointment would help “reinforce the development” of his fashion house as well as “capitalise on various opportunities we have to develop,” without providing specifics on what those developments could be.

Zuhair Murad was founded in 1997 in Beirut and has become known for its exquisitely crafted gowns, many of which are favoured by celebrities on the red carpet, and the label now has 100 points of sale, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, and Harrods.
